Nobody knows exactly when the team was founded. League records list three different years, two different home fields, and several players who may have been the same person using different names. Sponsored by Chupacabra Chop Shop, the Prisoners built their reputation playing wherever a field could be found and a wager could be settled. Their games rarely started on time, almost never ended cleanly, and occasionally continued after both teams had gone home.
Despite having no confirmed winning record, the Prisoners remain the league’s reigning:
STATE CHAMPIONS - 199NEVER. There has yet to be a trophy located. Experts are still divided.

The Chupacabra Chop Shop Prisoners have played under fake names, disputed scores, and questionable lighting for longer than anyone can reliably prove. Their home field changes without notice, their record books are mostly illegible, and their only state championship is dated 199NEVER. Many just call them The Prisoners, or BACKALLEY’S finest.
